I have learnt only one thing in this journey of mine – what she taught me out of my life experience and listening to others’ life experiences:

You can't please and convince everyone in life. A fist full of people is enough for you to form an army. Ignore what others say, inspire and aspire, and thrive for good.

There was a person, whose child was very sick for a long time with an ear infection and the pain never went away. The child was in deep stress, doctors’ medications were not helping, and the mother lost hope as the pain lasted for more than two weeks. She kept trying to reach me to bring the child, but it never worked out.

Finally, it happened recently – there was her Divine call and she could make it to see Her. She did her prayer by offering a thamboolam. Ambal said:

“Your child will be fine soon, nothing to worry... and this will never occur again. You had prayed something for me when this child was born and you forgot.”

The mother remembered: when her daughter was born, she had prayed to Samayapuram Mariamman – “If a girl child is born I will offer paal abhishegam and give her a gold earring.” They had done the paal abhishegam, but forgotten the earrings.

I told her to take a yellow cloth, keep $1, and pray to Mariamman asking forgiveness, assuring that she would fulfill the vow soon. That very night, the child’s pain ended – it was a miracle. Since then, the child has remained pain free.

The mother came back, offering a neranja thamboolam with flowers and bangles, and went home happily – beginning her journey of surrendering to God and experiencing Ambal’s miracles.
